Layout Update: Right Sidebar
Small changes going on this time at Pair O’ Dice Games. I’ve added a sidebar on the right (yeah, dramatic, huh?).

For the past few weeks the site has been acting up, courtesy of our [previous] web host. My apologies to our readers and contributors.
This is truly a bit of randomness but I really don’t care. Anyone that knows me knows I love rats. I find them to be incredibly fascinating animals that are also amazing pets. Recently my wife and I adopted two new baby rats that will be joining Bartleby and Rufus shortly. For now they are in a separate cage.
For any of you fans of Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog I recommend checking out Commentary! The Musical. While the actual commentary (the non-musical version) on the DVD will certainly give you more insight into the production (I’m never certain to what to call it… “show”, “film” etc.) the musical version, again simply called Commentary! The Musical, is quite funny and gives you the feeling of knowing these people in some intimate way.
I’ve been wondering for a while about how much politics are appropriate on a blog like this and in general I have come to the conclusion that it should be as little as possible. I admit that if I were the sole operator of this blog more political commentary would pop up but as it is it feels like I should try to keep my non-gaming personal beliefs out of the way.
If you take a look at comments on the site, you’ll see avatars are now enabled!
If you haven’t heard about this device, Mindset, check out this article. The device, from what I understand, allows you to play games (the games designed to be played this way of course) using your thoughts.
At this point I am sure that most of you who care to know, know that a film version of The Watchman is coming out. If you click here you can learn a bit more about the nearly three hour feature that will apparently have additional footage added for the DVD release (as they claim it is animated I have to assume that the added footage will be the comic book being read through the Watchman story but it did not say specifically).
Today this blog turns one year old!
Time to look back at some of our favorite posts and then take a peek at what the future holds for Pair O’ Dice Games!
This is the one hundredth post here at Pair O’ Dice! How cool is that? I wish it was something cooler… but oh well.
I know a lot of people have already commented on this on other blogs but I just felt I needed to chime in.
In case you missed it this is the quote that is popping around the internet.
I’ve been considering doing this post for a long time and finally just decided to go for it. I don’t expect my opinion matters to too many people all that much but I still thought it might be fun to throw together a list of sites that I think people should check out. When a friend of mine e-mailed me today and asked if I had any sites for him to look at so that he wouldn’t be bored at work I thought this would be a good time to do it. Most of them are at least slightly geek-related, so while this post is a bit off topic it still doesn’t feel completely out of place to me.
Ready or not (hmm, the new design, or you the reader?) the new site design is up. I’ll take a quick spin through the changes, and also describe how you can help make it a success.
As I have mentioned a couple of times I recently became a rat owner. My present from my wife for Solstice was three baby rats. We’ve named them Bartleby, Loki and Rufus. It has amazed me how they are each so individual and even having only had them for a few months they have really become a part of the family.
Bartleby is the white one and has always been the bravest and most interested in humans while Loki, the brown one, is the most timid. Rufus is very loving when he wants to be but is also the toughest and most willing to scrum with the other two. Bartleby also kind of reminds me of Remy from Ratatouille in that he has become a bit of a picky eater.
