As Minimum Wage is now live (I really just can’t say that enough!) I wanted to poke around the net and look at other print-and-play games.

What I discovered was that there are a lot of them. One great place to begin checking these games out (something I really do feel I need to do more of) is called Game-It-Yourself.

I plan to start looking over the many games available here but as the site has not been updated since early in 2008 I don’t expect Minimum Wage to be added to the roster. Still, it is quite interesting to see just how many “free” games are available.

I also found it interesting that some games that were free are no longer because they have been picked up by a publisher. Not that I expect Minimum Wage to follow such a path but it certainly makes posting other games for free feel less like giving up on it and more like getting it out there.

If you have a favorite print-and-play game let me know and I’ll check it out!

Cool, I had no idea there were so many out there.

If I didn’t have such a big backlog of board games, coming back from vacation with some very generous relatives, I’d probably be checking some of those out right now. As it is, seems worth looking into; the fact that some have been picked up for publishing indicates that there are good games to be found.
