R.I.P. Gary Gygax (July 27, 1938 – March 4, 2008)

“I would like the world to remember me as the guy who really enjoyed playing games and sharing his knowledge and his fun pastimes with everybody else.”

-Gary Gygax

D&D co-creator Gary Gygax

What can one say about a person they have never met and yet that person has an incredible impact on their life? By all accounts Gary Gygax has done things I wish to do. He created something that people love and people loved him for. Even if you do not play Dungeons and Dragons, your game of choice was impacted by the work of Gary Gygax. D&D was more than just the first of its kind, it was truly a revolution.

If anyone has an idea for a proper tribute feel free to suggest it.

    Scott Says:

I owe so much of my younger years (and heck, my older ones too) to gaming, and gaming owes so much to Gary Gygax.

The man will be missed, but his influence and inspiration live on.
